| I got one of those in silver last month when my 2001 EX DD blew the cylinder head gasket at 150,000 miles. Mine is already broken-in so I can give a report. In short the car can be described as having an engine that is all top end but works best at the low end. The gearing is ultra low and and the flywheel weight light. From zero to 80 is pretty quick but it does not have all that much on the top. That being said it makes for a great DD with modest gasoline consumption (32 mpg Hwy). Price is great for a beater car that you are going to use mercilessly every day for all you needs rain or shine, tight parking lot or not. I paid 21.9K for mine plus the the raping of the dealer and the goverment for an out-the-door price of $24,200. Car comes with 17's, larger brakes, performance exhaust that sounds and stiff suspension. Handles extremely well for a car in at its price point. Quite city weapon. "Recommended" fuel is premium but so I have been using regular w/o experiencing any detonation. Ain't no way I'm putting in expensive gas on a DD. I do try to keep the rpm max at 6K which sort of defeats the purpose of the car but, hey it is NOT a performance car like the Z. BTW the illustrous state of GA, shining star of the South, just passed legislation to severly increase the penalties for speeding 30 mph over the limit. The freeway system around Atlanta has average speeds approaching 80 mpm although the posted limit is 55. It is easy in a car like the 300 or even the Si to hit 90 mph. The criminality of DD is going up here.
